You might check to see if Vista is for some reason blocking network traffic.

Another problem could be that one of those other two Computers has some other network connection 'shared' and your vista machine is trying to use that instead of your real connection.

Another problem could be that you are for some reason getting a bad DHCP assigned IP / Gateway addresses. The easiest way to check this is to open up a command prompt (start / run / type cmd ; press enter) Type ipconfig and check that the gateway address is the same as your router. If the address is differant, you can statically assign the IP address of your vista machine, so that its gateway address matches the router.

My computer had been running fine, but all of a sudden, a week ago, the Internet just went dead. I have 2 other Computers that run perfectly on the same network. I'm guessing it's because for some reason, my computer, which is operating on Vista, is detecting 2 seperate networks. One has normal connectivity, the other has limited/low connectivity. It's as if the computer is confused on which to connect to and decided the limited one is the right one. I can't disable the less desirable one, so that's not exactly an option. And my computer has timed out numerous times while trying to work a fix for this problem. Also, I've completely reinstalled vista, twice, (and deleted the old windows folders) since this has happened. It worked in fixing the Internet problem the first time, but a day later, the 2nd network popped up again.

Does anyone know of a fix for this problem? I'd rather not have to go through the maze that is Microsoft/Vista support, unless absolutely necessary.
