The Renault clio is a very nice comfortable cheap and reliable car. They are a simular size but they feel a lot bigger to drive. Regarding the number plate you need to contact the DVLA to transfer the regs. |

you don't want a cilo unless the bonnet has been fixed, for your price range look for a nice 206 diesel, the 1.4 has only £35 tax, anyway that or the yaris both very nice cars.
for the plates look at the documents for the plate it should have a transfer bit, if i remember correctly other wise just phone the dvla and ask. |

£3000 will buy you quite a variety of cars. In addition to the obvious Fiesta, Clio, 206 size, you could get something a bit bigger, which will feel like more of a 'grown-up' car, like a Focus, which is a good car. If you can afford the insurance, you could even look at something like a Mazda MX5, which is still a cheap car to run, not least because you'll get a better return on it when you eventually sell it. Buy a copy of Auto Trader & sit down with a mug of tea & go shopping!
Look on the DVLA website for info on transferring a private plate. |

I would buy a Renault megane, they are reliable, safe and do the motorway miles very well, they are not too expensive either, check out the auto trader! As far as transferring your number plate, you just inform the DVLA, it think the transfer costs around eighty pounds!
Good luck!! |

Hiya, I have a 2000 ford Ka, which my dad bought for me whilst I was learning to drive.
I passed a year ago and said that I would upgrade.
My question is what would you recommend?
Nothing more than around £3000, reliable, able to do motorway journeys on a regular occasion and cheap to run.
Thanks! I will also choose a best answer.
I have another question aswell if you could answer it?
What should I do about my personalised number plate?
I am obviously going to put it on the new car, but how do I go about doing that? Thanks! |
