Nuclear fusion is a combination of two nuclei to form a heavier nucleus with the release of energy. Nuclear fission is the splitting of an atomic nucleus.

fusion is the process that drives the stars. Stars, such as our sun, are enormous balls of mostly hydrogen and helium. Under tremendous preasure of gravity, the atoms of hydrogen are driven together at enormous speed and temperature. When four colide at once, they "fuse" to form a helium atom. But, not all the matter is converted to helium. A tiny amount is transformed into energy, and released as a photon of light. That is why the stars shine.

A hydrogen atom consists of one proton, and one electron. Helium consists of two protons, two electrons, and two neutrons. The neutrons are formed by the collision of electrons and protons, which fuse together to form the new particle.

hydrogen atoms fuse to form helium atoms

2.a high temperature,rather a very high temperature

3.i do not u/stand the question.however if the question is where do you find fusion reaction the answer is in the stars and sun

4.similarities
a.both are nuclear reactions
b.both generate enormous amount of energy
c.both produce a energy in the form of heat
d.both are non conventional sources of energy
dissimilarities
a.fusion is pollution free
b.fusion calls for very high temperatures to start the reaction
c.in fusion lighter nuclei combine to form heavier nuclei.in fission heavier nuclei break
d.fission is easier to control and produce as compared to fusion
