That was the same with my friends. They hated metal but when I showed them some good metal (not Slipknot, Korn etc.) they liked it very much. |

In my opinion, I think people that hate it think that oh my god, he or she listens to metal they are freaks. WRONG!!! Freaks are the freiken goth music people, metal is actually a very good genre to get in to, I mean especially with pioneer bands like Pantera, And Slayer. Another thing to think about is people fall into mainstream poppy bull crap music way too much, just follow the world, if you have always been into metal, you are very fortuante, metal includes a close following with such a huge family type deal, like Pantera shows I used to go to, so friendly were the band members after the show, hang out with you like you've known em for 15 years. This mainstream music is all about stardom and bullshit like that, and I guarantee you those mainstream stars are stuck up and would never hang out with after a show and just chill, thats why for instance they are always having contests to hang out with those pop stars for a day and bullshit like that, metal doesnt need to break into mainstream, we have had it all along.

Why is it that so many people hate metal when they have never even heard any. Everyone i know who's ever hated metal has ended up loving it after they listen to some good metal bands a couple of times. are people just too afraid to listen to heavy music? More people should just give it a chance. |
